About
The Creation Association of Puget Sound (CAPS) is an non-profit 501c3 organization of Christian men and women committed to a full belief in the Biblical record of creation and to the proposition that the true facts of science and history support this belief. The members of CAPS are opposed to the one-sided presentation of evolutionary views in public schools, colleges, and the news media. The basic function of CAPS is to disseminate the abundance of scientific evidence in support of the Biblical account of creation and young earth history.
Mission StatementThe Mission of CAPS is to communicate to schools, churches, and the general public, scientific as well as Biblical evidence, which supports creation and contradicts evolution.
ObjectivesTo further the cause of creationism by whatever means that are in keeping with faith in Christ as our only redeemer and in keeping with good order. To work in cooperation with other creation organizations. To promote creation research of the highest and most productive quality. To advocate the creation approach to education in churches, schools, and homes.
Sphere of OperationCAPS is a religious and educational association, yet it does not seek to enter into the field of religion of Christianity in general, or enter into politics. CAPS may encompass various Christian and educational groups without entering into distinctions between these groups, apart from their effect on the proper understanding of the relation between the Bible and science. CAPS is able to assist people in working together on the issue of creation, though these same people may differ widely with regard to other issues. CAPS seeks to relate the Bible to the disciplines of science and technology in the educational world an in industry.
